چکیده

Abstract Several farrowing induction programs have been used to increase the proportion of sow during work period and rate supervision, as well promote success cross-fostering practice all-in all-out in swine production. The present overview aimed evaluate effects on duration, birth interval, weight, dystocia/birth assistance, stillbirth pigs. results showed that via different routes administration, either natural or synthetic prostaglandins alone combination mostly with uterotonic drugs, including oxytocin carbetocin, for farrowing. Sometimes other such dexamethasone, estradiol, xylazine, ergometrine, AGN190851, were added. Vulvar perinatal reduced intramuscular dose by 50% 75%, while equal remained. A split prostaglandin 6 h apart should be because it may enhance complete luteolysis. Additionally, if drugs are following injection, they injected after first piglets at earliest timepoint ensure full opening cervix. These two practices decrease dystocia. Induction not conducted more than 2 days earlier expected date order keep weight unaltered. This review also revealed certain factors, differences piglets’ weights, litter size, gestation length, treatment altrenogest before induction, confounding factors possibly alter effect characteristics.

Effects of farrowing induction on suckling piglet performance

Materials and methods: The 122 sows in this study were allocated to two treatment groups or served as controls. Treatments consisted of two 1-mL (87.5-μg) injections of cloprostenol administered at a 6-hour interval on gestation day 114, either vulvomucosally (VM) or intra-abdominally (AB) into the external abdominal oblique muscle. Controls received two 1-mL injections of sterile saline admini...

Effects of day of farrowing induction and spontaneous versus induced farrowing on sow and suckling piglet performance

Results: Analysis 1: Gestation length (mean ± standard error) was 114.01 ± 0.08, 114.67 ± 0.08, and 115.19 ± 0.09 days for day 113, 114, and 116 groups, respectively; spontaneous farrowing occurred in 6.50%, 14.89%, and 80.83% of sows. There was no treatment effect on number born alive (NBA), mummies, stillborns, litter weaning weight, litter average daily gain, percentage litters receiving med...

the effects of changing roughness on the flow structure in the bends

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...

Effects of late introduction of sows to two farrowing environments on the progress of farrowing and maternal behavior.

To evaluate the effect of late introduction to farrowing pens on the progress of farrowing and maternal behavior, 20 primiparous and 20 multiparous sows were allocated randomly to 1 of 2 treatments: 1) early introduction to pen (EP, n = 20) and 2) late introduction to pen (LP, n = 20). To evaluate the difference between loose-housed sows and crated sows when introduced late to the farrowing env...
